The Eph offense took a couple of series to get on track. Then the O-line dominated. The Ephs balanced attack devastated the Continentals, amassing 261 yards on the ground and 247 in the air. Sophomore QB Owen McHugh went 17 of 25 for 247 yards and 5 TDs with no sacks. Congratulations to Owen who was NESCAC Football Offensive Player of the Week.

That Was Frustrating

Williams dominated on both sides of the ball, but was undone by two plays. The first was a fluky interception returned 76 yards by Amherst, and the second was a 46-yard scoop and score by the Mammoths (which clearly wasn’t a fumble).

One More To Go

Unlike every other year, the last game of the 2023 season will be against Bates. All three Maine teams postponed their October 26th games to November 18th. The Ephs travel to Lewiston to close out the season against the 0-8 Bobcats.
